YEAR 2009 EVENTS
Events & Characters Subject to change

May 1st – 3rd: We're open for another season. Campers will be busy setting up their lots for another year with friends and family.

May 8th – 10th: Mothers Day Weekend, this weekend Mom should sit back and let Dad and the Kids get the campsite ready. Join us at the Shelter Sat at 5:30 when dinner will be served. Mom won't have to cook this time. Polar Bear Swim at noon on Sat for those who think that they can do it.

May 15th – 18th: First Long Weekend of the season! Adults will be bringing their 4 wheelers this weekend. Bikes leave the Campground at 8:30 sat and when they return they will discuss the trip over burgers and refreshments st Jack”s. (Limited space so sign up early at the office) This weekend we start all of our regular weekly activities, horseshoes, darts, crib, wash n toss, kids bingo, adult bingo, texas hold'em. Seasonal Meeting Sunday 10:30

May 22nd – 24th: Adults swing the clubs at our 8th Annual Mini Golf Tournament. Don't miss your chance to win camping Cash. Kids join us at the shelter at 3:30 for our Ice Cream Social. Make your own Sundae, Banana Split or whatever your tastebuds enjoy.

May 29th – 31st: Kids Mini Golf Tournament this weekend. Great Prizes for all ages (check them out at the store). Kids dances start this weekend from 8 to 11 pm.

June 5th - 8th: Cakes, Cakes, & More Cakes, that right, the kids can have their cake and eat it too if they are lucky at our Cake Walk on Sat at 3:30. Cakes for all age groups so don't let them miss out.

June 12th – 14th: Whose got the biggest appetite? The winner will be determined at our Adult Spaghetti Eating Contest. Join us at the shelter and watch our campers down some of (or should I say “pile” of) Jack's cooking.

June 19th – 21st: Father's Day Weekend, Kids can spend the day with Dad on Sat down at the river with the fishing poles at our 6th Annual Fishing derby. We still haven't beat Gerry Marchand's 32 inch one! We will serve Hip of Beef Dinner with all the fixings at the shelter Sat night at 5:30. Then we end the day with an Adult dance 10 pm to 1am.

June 26th to 28th: Let's Get Ready to Rumble! The Canadian Wrestling Federation returns to the campground for an evening of entertainment Sat night. We didn't leave the music out this weekend, bring your chairs to the "A" section for our Outdoor Newfie Jam Session from 3:30 tto 6:30 with Fraser Newcombe!

July 1st: Canada Day. Join us at the Pool and Rec Hall for games, hot dogs, cake and refreshments at 1pm.

July 3rd – 5th: Tommy Cash Weekend, Get your tickets early for our 3 Day Open Air Concert.

July 10th – 12th: Adults are bringing their 4 wheelers again this weekend for the Sat 8:30 departure. Limited Space sign up early. Jack will be hosting burgers and refreshments for participants after the ride. Kids are to meet Captain Hook and Pirate Frank 10:00 am at the shelter for our annual Treasure Hunt, you had better look hard because it will be right under your nose. Recording Artist Hal Bruce returns again this weekend.

July 17th – 19th: Fun for the whole family this weekend at our Family Field day. Parents and Kids will compete against each other for prizes and bragging rights. Events include sack races basketball shootout, egg toss, three legged race, dollar pie hunt, water balloon toss and tug of war. Newfoundland Adult Dance with Fraser Newcombe and his Band.

July 24th – 26th: Ho, Ho, Ho, Yep it's Xmas in July, even Santa likes to camp! The old fellow will be making his way to the Shelter Sat at 3:30 pm and pass out to all boys and girls 10 and under. Decorate your lot and you can win Camper Cash, Judges will be around sat evening for the best 3 decorated trailers.

July 31st – Aug 3rd: Another Long Weekend and we have a full slate of activities. Kids get to decorate their bikes or carriages and parade throughout the campground at 11:30 in our Annual Bike Parade. Graet Prizes are to be won! Then bring your chairs to “Mr. Or Mrs” Whispering Winds, this year we invite the ladies to strut their stuff and compete against the men at 3 pm in A Section. Turkey Dinner with all the trimming will be served at 6pm on Sat. Adult Dance this weekend with “Midnight Express” from 10 till 1 am.

Aug 7th – 9th: Get your Ducks in order. Win a Seasonal Lot this weekend in our “Rubber Duck Race”. Pick your winner at the office for Sat's race. Someone has to win the $1500.00 Prize. Then, Get Ready to Rumble! They are back again that is The Canadian Wrestling Federation will be hosting their “Grudge Match” Sat Night.

Aug 14 – 16: Join Rick and Dan at the Baseball Field at 5pm on Sat for our Annual Mussel Bake. While there take in the Baseball Game, and you can enjoy hot dogs and beverages. Another Adult Dance this weekend from 11 pm to 1 am.

Aug 21st – 23rd: Scary Boo Weekend, that is Halloween Weekend! Kids will be going from trailer to trailer from 3:30 till 5 getting treats from campers. At 7:30 we will open the doors of the Haunted House for those brave ones who dare to go in! June and Howie will be playing at the Adult Dance from 10 pm till 1 am.

Aug 28th – 30th: Fresh Corn is being picked! Join us at the shelter 5pm on Sat for our Free corn Boil. Then at 7 pm it is our Kids Pool Party for all 12 and up. Games with great prizes for all.

Sept 4th – 7th: Last Long Weekend before school and Fireworks Weekend! We will be cooking up our Hip of Beef with the trimmings on sat at 5pm. This weekend Midnight Express returns for the Adult dance from 10 to 1 Shubenacadie Fire Department will be firing off Our Annual Labor Day Fireworks! Time TBA

Sept 11th – 13th: Camping Still goes on. Join in for our Annual Triathalon for Camping Cash.

Sept 18th – 20th: Kids Year End Party. Time for the kids to say good bye to fellow campers for another year. Meal sat at 5pm with 8pm DJ and prizes.

Sept 25th – 27th: Adult Year End Dinner and Dance. Campground remains open until Oct 12th, Thanksgiving Weekend.
